HAVEN'T GOT TIME FOR THE PAIN



While I love this song by Caryl Simon, I sure don't like it when the pain is in my head....as in a migraine or tension headache. UGH!!!

I love using essential oil inhalers when I feel a headache coming on.  Not only are these nifty little inhalers easy to make, they are a "no-mess, no-fuss" way to get the benefits of essential oils through inhalation.  These three recipes, courtesy of Aromahead Blog, are a way to use essential oils in a personal inhaler.  Depending on what is causing the pain (tension, emotions, or digestion), the blend of essential oils listed here may help to ease the pain and lend support to your body.

Muscle Tension

6 drops Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis ct. camphor)
6 drops Black Spruce (Picea mariana)
3 drops Peppermint (Mentha x piperita)

Emotional Stress

5 drops Frankincense (Boswellia carterii)
5 drops Spike Lavender (Lavandula latifolia)
5 drops Orange (Citrus sinensis)

Digestive
7 drops Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile)
5 drops Cardamom (Ellettaria cardamomum)-*I have substituted Eucalyptus radiata
3 drops Peppermint (Mentha x piperita)
I love using these personal inhalers when I make my inhaler blends.  They are made in the USA...a big plus in my book!!
