Not only do I love all-things essential oils and such, I also love quilts! I used to quilt with my mom when I was growing up; that's why this book just spoke to me! I was so excited to be able to review this book and host a giveaway here on my blog. If you also love all-things quilts, you have come to the right place!  :) Read about my review and enter for a chance to win below!

My Mother's Quilt

Book Review:
Some of my best childhood memories are of my mom sitting at her big ol' quilting frame, helping her to tie a quilt.  Many a cold, winter afternoon was spent sitting there with her, tying the quilt and just being together.   Those quilts were a labor of love for my mom and not only did those beautiful quilts keep us warm at night, the memory has kept me warm for far longer.  That's why this book, "My Mother's Quilts," just spoke to me.  The author shares stories of her family's quilts, especially those of her grandmother and mother. Not only does each quilt have a story to tell, but also lessons of family, faith and love.

"... the stitches of our family are very much like our faith: they bind us, comfort us, and help us share the foundations of the past with the generations of the future."

About the Book:
A quilt is love that serves a purpose.

The devotions in My Mother's Quilts are inspired by family heirloom quilts, some more than 100 years old.  With humor and sincerity, Ramona Richards shares her memories and lessons learned from the quilters whose legacies live on in their work.  Rich, personal, sometimes heartbreaking, often funny, each reading provides a lesson and encouragement from the faithful women who crafted the quilts.  Together, these devotions depict the enduring legacy of faith, family, and beloved traditions.  Includes full color photographs of each of the 30 quilts.
