Every year around this time, I start to take stock of what I have on hand, (and what I need to have on hand!), to get my family through the coming winter months.  As I was browsing Facebook this morning, I spotted an ad for a 72 hour emergency food supply on sale from Wise Food Storage for $19.99.  I had previously requested a sample from them and was very pleased with the taste and texture of the food.  I know that there are other companies to choose from but since I had already tried this company's food, I decided to go ahead and order 2 of the 72 hr. kits.  Once they arrive, I am going to store them in my freezer.  I take large Tupperware containers, place the packets in there and then seal them securely.

When the next ice storm/blizzard hits my area and we lose power, I'm going to be prepared!
