Happy Holiday Happy holiday,

While the merry bells keep ringing May your every wish come true

Happy holiday, happy holiday

May the calendar keep bringing Happy holidays to you!

Holiday Season...'Tis the season full of sights, sounds, lights and is also a time of the year when many people experience sensory-overload and anxiety. This time of year is a very busy one with baking, shopping, entertaining, parties, not to mention extra cleaning and other day-to-day busyness. It's enough to turn even the sanest person into a Scrooge!  When the demands of every-day life get to be a bit too much, I turn to my collection of essential oils and carrier oils and formulate a blend.  Just smelling the oils calms my racing mind and allows me to focus.  I love to make up this blend in equal ratios using Jojoba oil.  It is very soothing when I roll it on and the oils are very beneficial for an anxious mind.

1 drop Bergamot  Citrus bergamia **
1 drop Frankincense Boswellia carterii
1 drop Lavender Lavandula angustifolia
10ml roller bottle (2 tsps).  The blend is therefore 3 drops to 2 tsps of carrier oil.

I chose Jojoba oil because I have sensitive skin.  Jojoba oil mimics the skin’s natural sebum, penetrates the skin easily and are gentle enough for all skin types, without causing allergic reactions. This is one of my favorite carrier oils to use! I keep a large bottle of it handy and make up blends as I need them.  I purchase my Jojoba oil HERE.

A scientific study was done using Bergamot, Frankincense, and Lavender that showed positive results when using these 3 oils together.  You can read about this HERE.

**The study used Bergamot Citrus aurantium (L.) var. bergamia. I am not familiar with that type of Bergamot; I did some researching and decided to use the Bergamot that I had on hand (Citrus bergamia).

Mayo Clinic also has some great tips on how to de-stress and cope with the Holiday Season. You can read about those HERE.

Enjoy your holiday season and remember: it only comes around once a year!
